ABOUT US

Here, you will find all about who Long Branch Baptist Church is and what we believe. We are strong in our faith and beliefs, and we believe that God has called us to do His work and further His kingdom.

STATEMENT OF BELIEF

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, written by men divinely inspired and is the record of God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. The word of God is our sole authority!

OUR VISION

Our vision is to reach our neighbors for Christ by bringing people into Christian fellowship while providing opportunities for spiritual growth and service.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

We believe we exist as a church to preach and teach the truths of God's Word and to pierce the darkness of sin with God's light of Salvation to the ends of the earth, making disciples as we go. We are mission minded, mission giving, and mission going!

OUR MISSION

We are service oriented, worship centered, outreach focused, relationship dependent, and discipleship committed for Christ.

OUR CORE VALUES
We are Biblically grounded

We believe the Bible is given inspiration of God, is completely true in all its teachings, and is the authoritative rule in all areas of life.

We are Gospel centered

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, through His life, death, and resurrection, became the only acceptable, sinless sacrifice for all sinners, and we worship Him.

We are outreach focused

We believe that our mission field begins with our immediate friends and neighbors and extends to the farthest regions of the world. We seek to proclaim Christ to all who do not know Him as Lord and Savior.

We are family oriented

We believe that the family relationship is the building block of a strong community and church, and that the Lord Jesus is the head of our church family.

We are service minded

We believe that by the help of the Holy Spirit we are to minister to one another in brotherly love, pray for one another, and to aid one another in sickness and distress.

We are discipleship committed

We believe that every Christian has been created, saved, and gifted for specific ministry. We are committed to equipping and supporting one another to be all that God wants us to be.

We are historically connected

We believe in the principles of faith consistent with the Southern Baptist Convention as outlined in the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
